An impromptu set
as we sit and beat
thoughts of nothing
thoughts of what was
thoughts of what could have been
friends gone
friends here
unknown friends
love
hate
the music
the rhythm
the beat
melodies
capturing the Love of the world
No barriers
Togetherness
Love
Music
blending us all
One Love
Music bringing us together

"Thoughts of what could have been" that is so true when you think of James Dean. I love the feeling of comradery and unity in this poem, and yes music does bring us all together. It is a universal language indeed. Thank you so much for joining us this week Regina. This is a lovely poem my friend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie, I have to come aboard more often.

DeleteGreat flow of words, I can feel the rhythm .
ReplyDeleteReally love the way this grows a community around the individual actions and thoughts of the musicians. Strong rhythm & imagery.
ReplyDeleteThank you, how I wish the world be.
DeleteI felt a primitive kind of emotion as I read your poem ... no beginning, no end. And I sighed deeply. Thank you.
