Gazing out beyond
looking but not looking
seeking and yet to find
the path that brings me
off the ledge
looking but not looking
seeking and yet to find
the path that brings me
off the ledge
Trapped in a myriad of closed doors.
Shouting for help
Please
Shouting for help
Please
Hear my cry
See my sorrow
Heal my heart
See my sorrow
Heal my heart
Seconds, minutes, hours…days
pass
One step backwards is progress
Alive and off the ledge

I love the ponderings and poetic plea here, that moving forward is stepping back off the ledge. Yes indeed sometimes to move truly forward we must step back. This is wise and lovely my friend! So glad you joined us today at the Muse!! I hope to see you again soon.
ReplyDeleteThis one came with no hesitation. I love the picture. Thank you!
Delete"Looking but not looking"...What an extremely apt comment on the way the world's vision of itself needs a metaphorical kick up the rear, to open eyes and take action before it's too late.. Very thought provoking write.
